January 28, 2012i`ve heard its an alright kit but not the best. think you have to do some extra work with it.
January 28, 2012Bought my rough country lift back in 09 only thing extra I needed was shocks. Which I got from them, I even ordered my Mickey Thompson wheels and tires from their. So everything came at once...
January 30, 2012im looking for a bolt on kit around 1400. i dont want to cut transfer case and such but i know some modifying is need. Also what else is needed brake lines ect.? ill be doing it myself with one buddy. i cant see lift prices from superlidt,or rcd so idk what their prices are
January 30, 2012Nope brake lines were included, as well as rear blocks, u-bolts, add-a-leaf. You have to trim the cooling fins on you front axle because when you drop it down, it comes into contact with the frame rail. After looking at the kit, the shock boots and the steering stabilizer are what I bought extra. The shocks are included. Only additional thing I did after I installed it all was weld the upper control arm drop brackets to the frame rail. Then trashed the blocks for a shackle flip kit and a u-bolt flip kit, helped my pinion angle out considerably. But I think the kit is well worth the money.
If you look at the pictures on the corroded u-bolts my factory ones were all most gone, I put the Rough Country bolts and their blocks in September. By December when I replaced them with the flip kit, they were all ready corroding.
January 30, 2012BTW where are you located?
January 31, 2012im in illinois. So the rough counrty set up for u is good? because i want to get mine ordered ans put on early this summer. ans making sure it comes with everything needed to get the job done? i dont want to be making trips trying to find extra parts
January 31, 2012nope i didn`t need to buy and install anything extra. I put new tie rod ends on mine and you will have to take it to be aligned. Plus you`re speedomoter will be off if you get bigger tires, so a tune will be needed.
I would suggest that you atleast buy shock boots and a steering stabilizer on-top of the lift.
March 6, 2012So did you go with this kit and if so how do you like it?
