May 24, 2010Has anyone had problem with a/c blowing hot only on driver side? I checked another website that told me the temperature actuator was bad and needed to be replaced. I bought a new actuator, however, after removing the screws and the plug for the old actuator, I accidentally broke the remaining piece that fits into the hole on the top of the actuator. Before I changed it, it was an intermittant problem. Now the a/c on the driver side blows hot all the time. Does anybody have any recommendations?

May 24, 2010yea sounds like same problem i have, mine is intermitant though. how hard is it to get to that piece? i have yet to locate it or try too, dealership said it was like a 4-5 hour job, and i am not paying that much for that.
May 25, 2010There are 2-3 screws holding on the shroud below the glove compartment. There should be a group of 2-3 wires taped together coming down and plugging in to a piece app 3" wide by 4" deep. That piece is the actuator, it only has two screws holding it in place. It should be a 5.5mm socket to take those screws out. Be careful at that point because that is how I broke mine. But somehow that piece now is supposed to drop out.
May 25, 2010and that is the one that controls the drivers side air? checy was telling me that htey had to take the dash all apart.
November 3, 2012Any updates on how to fix this problem, now I`m having issues on the drivers side, figures, seems only to start throwing out hot air when on the freeway with the a/c on.
December 19, 2012From my research drivers side easy to change. Passenger requires dash removal. Can anyone confirm this?
