July 12, 2007EDIT: This should be the same for all 99-02 trucks
There were a couple of people asking for a step by step on removing door panels, and I had some free time today so I took some pictures.
Step 1: Remove the triangular piece that covers where the door mirror mounts. Start at the top and tilt it outwards.
Step 2: Remove the lock cover with a flat-head screwdriver.
Step 3: Remove the cover behind the door handle. It may take some jiggling to get it over the handle.
Step 4: Gently pry up on the piece that the lock/window switches are on. Once you get that off, unplug all of the wires/clips.
Step 5: Next remove the two 7mm screws. One is behind where the piece with the plugs was, and the other is behind the armrest/handle thingy.
Step 6: Grab the armrest handle and pull up. The whole panel should come up pretty easily. Once it is free, DON'T pull it away or put it on the ground yet.
Step whatever: unclip the wire for the tweeter
Last step!!!: The last thing to do is to remove the light bulb at the bottom left of the door. To do this, simply grab the black plastic clip and pull it out horizontally.
STEP DONE!!! Take the door panel and put it wherever you want, and give yourself a pat on the back.
Hope this helped anyone who was having any difficulty, and if you have any questions about anything I may have been unclear about, feel free to comment.
