August 30, 2009When did GM stop putting in-line fuel filters in the trucks? I spent half an hour looking for the fuel filter in my 2006 crew cab and it was not where it was supposed to be. After doing a couple searches I understand that the filter is now part of the fuel pump? Has anyone had any problems with this? I guess you can’t do preventative maintenance by changing the filter every so often?

August 30, 2009Don't know when - but ours is in the tank. Not serviceable.
August 30, 2009I believe it was 2004 when they were moved inside the tank.
August 30, 2009This goes against everything I've been taught; why would they put the filter where it can’t be serviced?
August 30, 2009ummmm.....yeah probably more money for the stealership. Make it harder to work on then you wont want to do it and have take it to them. my 2 cents on it
Quit being so stupid....Its my turn now!
